Omaha Chess Minicamp

Omaha Chess is pleased to announce that we are having a chess minicamp on February 7, 2009. The location is yet to be determined. The cost is $25 per student. Any school which sends 4 paid students can send a fifth student for $15 and a sixth student for $10. We will divide the entries according to level of experience into sections. We plan to have a separate section for high school students.

The minicamp will teach about checkmating; how to checkmate and how to prevent checkmate. We will cover stalemate and draws.

If this camp is successful, we will have additional camps in the future, focusing on issues such as tactics, openings, end game, and so on.
